12 Tags of Christmas – Funkie Junkie Style (Week #11)

After a long week at work, I came home waiting for the “storm” that’s supposed to move in and give us some snow. I’m still hoping for a white Christmas but it’s really unlikely. So after I brushed out the knots in my hair created by the wind when I went for a walk at lunch, I headed to my craft room to work on the week 11 tag for the 12 tags of Christmas Funkie Junkie st yle. The challenge is generously sponsored by the Funkie Junkie Boutique . Technically there is still time to join in on the fun...

Home for the Holidays

Well, I did it. One of my New Year’s resolutions for this year was to participate in each of the Frilly & Funkie challenges . I managed each one of them – sometimes with awesome results and sometimes with some not-so-awesome results. Over the year though I have picked up new techniques, pushed my boundaries a bit, and enjoyed every minute of it. The last project for the year on the Frilly and Funkie blog is a Home for the Holidays challenge and the challenge is generously sponsored and supported...

12 Tags of Christmas – Funkie Junkie Style (Week #8)

Admittedly I’m behind on my Christmas tags but not too much! This weekend put my oven into full swing for the holidays – a long, slow 4 hour bake for a traditional English Christmas cake. Now, to “feed” the cake brandy for the next three weeks! I did, however, manage to get some time in my craft room and first up was the Week #8 Christmas tag for the 12 tags of Christmas -- Funkie Junkie style. There is still time for you to join in the challenge! The challenge is sponsored by the Funkie Junkie Boutique...

To be honest, I was really pushing it this holiday week with all of the baking for Thanksgiving and then decking the house and my office with Christmas trees and garland. I think I will be wearing glitter for the next month...

Over a Hundred Years in the Making – The Frilly & Funkie Challenge

The current challenge on the Frilly and Funkie Blog is What a Mesh . The challenge is generously sponsored by the Funkie Junkie Boutique . When I first saw the challenge I wondered what the heck I was going to do. I kept thinking of different things and then I veered off toward baseball. I’m not a huge baseball fan – it’s all a bit too slow paced for me. I did spent hours playing catch with my dad as a kid and all that practice means I’ve got a pretty darn good baseball pitch. I know just enough...
