The latest challenge at the Frilly & Funkie Blog was asking us to “let’s make a trio.” The challenge is graciously sponsored by The Funkie Junkie Boutique.
For some reason I’m a week off and this morning I realized that the tag for this challenge was due tonight! Over lunch I thought about doing something involved a vintage hat or brooch. That, however, morphed into this tag. Not a hat but some lovely triplicates of felt flowers and some other bits and pieces I found in the jar on my craft table. Of course, I thought the stamp was appropriate because that’s really what I was doing instead of helping my husband make dinner and fold the laundry. It was fun although a bit rushed. Still kind of reminds me of an old hat piece or brooch found in a dresser drawer that has a liner on the bottom that has seen better days.
Felt seems to be making a comeback and I had some lovely colors stored in my craft room closet. I picked the ones that reminded me of vintage hats or coats and lightly browned the ones that were the lighter color. I love that the thinlit type dies can cut through felt and the smaller versions of the flowers are nice for smaller projects.
I hope you enjoy my trios of flowers (three of each color and size) and Happy Spring!
The recipe for this tag follows the photo.
