Happy Birthday to me! And, Happy Birthday to Simon Says Stamp! I love my birthday and this weekend my beloved let me have fun playing around in my craft room with some of the new things he got me. I woke up Sunday morning, the day before my birthday, and started to play around with my new mica powders and inks. I created what would become the background of this tag using the mica powder, water, snowflake paste, and distress paint. While it was drying I went for a run (good thing too because the weather turned by noon and was a bit grim all afternoon) and while I was out running ideas started to float around in my head. I was thinking about boy stuff for the Frilly & Funkie Challenge and when I came home I found the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge this week was Happy Birthday! I decided to see if I could do both challenges!
Here is my birthday tag – it is a bit industrial for me but I had a great time making it. I didn’t really have a plan in mind and just let everything come together.
I’m entering this Birthday tag into two challenges:
Happy Birthday!

15-Apr-16 3:06 AMOh this one is equally handsome to your other tag! The layering of the rusty bits and embellishments speak to the masculine qualities. Beautiful tag! Glad the Boy oh Boy Challenge at Frilly and Funkie had you creating both tags!
