I was fiddling around with the “plastic bag” inking technique and decided to make a second tag this weekend. Over the last couple of weeks I’ve seen postings on various blogs using this technique so I decided to try it. It’s way too warm here today to go outside and play so I tucked into my craft room, window open, fan on high, and started.
There are two challenges for this tag – Summer Garden with Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog (sponsored by Simon Says Stamp) and Let the Words Do the Talking from the Frilly & Funkie Challenge Blog (sponsored by the Funkie Junkie Boutique). This project was my second time working with layering stamps. I know that many of you have probably already worked with those but Tag #1 (love, art, beauty) was the first time (the leaves) and this tag was the second (the flower). I thought it was a fun and random technique.
Now, I would definitely get a peony if it was such a deep, rich color and I had more space in my garden. Alas, it will be planted in my if-I-win-the-lottery garden!
Enjoy and I hope you too are inspired by the words and the technique!

15-Jun-16 3:33 AMI love this soft, summery color palette! The textured background is clean and fresh as a summer morning and your sentiment and artwork pair together so well. Such a lovely tag! Thanks for sharing with us at the Frilly Funkie "Let the Words Do the Talking" Challenge at the Funkie Junkie Boutique!
