One of the fun art exercises I've done every month this year is to participate in Tim Holtz' 12 tags of 2015, not only because it's good to see new ideas, but also because he introduces new or little-used techniques to complete the exercise. For November, it was dimensional watercolor, paint resist, and distressed foiling. Hmm.
His example was, if you like, a tag that's "traditional" for the time of year: a pumpkin, a label saying autumn, rusty and warm reds and browns. I decided to do something a little different: rather than being traditional I went for being up to date, of the moment. I went for a tag that expressed solidarity with Paris on their recent tragedy, but using the techniques that Tim was discussing.
Somewhat unorthodox, but what do you think?
