Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2016 – Tech Remix (December)

Merry Christmas! We woke to a lovely Christmas morning. We even got a dusting of snow overnight for a white Christmas! The clouds are moving out so we won’t get any more snow but it is incredibly windy but will make for a good day to stay inside and spend a lovely day with my beloved and our kittens. Soon the kitchen will be smelling divine as Christmas dinner will be put in the oven.

This tag is the last of the Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2016 – Tech Remix. It was a New Year’s resolution to complete the whole year and it’s also my first full year of completing tags for the Tim Holtz challenge. YAY!!! As I have been working at this inking/mixed media stuff for about 18 months now I can truly say that I learned so many things and the Tech Remix introduced me to techniques from years past but sometimes with a new twist. I thoroughly enjoyed the 12 Tags – Tech Remix and I hope this tag is a good end to the year!

Even though it’s the end of the year of techniques I have to admit it is the first time I used my shadow press folders and station! It was also good to pull out my Tim Holtz punches and use them as they sometimes are a forgotten tool in my arsenal. The mini tree was great to use for this tag – it was the perfect size and I tried to include some of my favorite embellishments – the ice skate, pine cones, and stars.
