12 Tags of Christmas – Funkie Junkie Style (Week #8)

Admittedly I’m behind on my Christmas tags but not too much! This weekend put my oven into full swing for the holidays – a long, slow 4 hour bake for a traditional English Christmas cake. Now, to “feed” the cake brandy for the next three weeks! I did, however, manage to get some time in my craft room and first up was the Week #8 Christmas tag for the 12 tags of Christmas -- Funkie Junkie style. There is still time for you to join in the challenge! The challenge is sponsored by the Funkie Junkie Boutique and the challenge rules and inspiration can be found on the Funkie Junkie blog.

Linda’s tag from week #8 inspired me to use red and to use ephemera. Initially I was also inspired by Linda’s use of a “didn’t make the cut” tag but the red ones I had were just not working. So I started with a fresh tag, pulled out some plaid Tim Holtz paper, created some greenery, and played with some thin wire I found at the craft store. I then grabbed an ephemera card, trimmed it to be backed by the Prima Memory Hardware trims, and finished everything off with a Prima flower and stickles. I like the finished project – it just feels vintage to me.

Have a lovely day!

Love your wire circle with the vintage image behind it. It looks lovely with the greenery grouping. Lovely plaid paper too. So glad you are still hanging in for this challenge!

Hugs, Linda
