What a beautiful weekend we had here in our neck of the woods -- it was lovely and warm (bordering on hot) which allowed for some spring gardening! It’s a bit too warm for our norm for this time of year but the lawn mower, gardening shears, shovel, and rake were all put to good use this weekend. All of the work in the garden inspired me to create this project for the Frilly & Funkie Challenge – You've Got to Know When to Fold ‘em. The challenge is generously sponsored by the Funkie Junkie Boutique. […]
READ MOREHello! Sorry it’s been a little bit since my last project but sometimes there just aren’t enough hours in the day to get it all done. I was able to spend a little bit of time in my craft room tonight while my beloved was making dinner. I was able to skip out of work right at 5 p.m. to head home for a run – I absolutely love that we have a bit of extra daylight in the evenings. It truly is a sign that spring is on its way! Not to mention the crocus’ have bloomed and the daffodils are starting to make their appearances. It all seems a little early this year. […]
READ MOREHello! I apologize for having been a bit absent over the past couple of weeks. Work and other projects have made by craft room seem a bit out of reach. However, today was a cruddy weather day and a day to play in my craft room but I had one of those days were I started a million projects and not finding the spark in any of them. So, I walked out and curled up with the kittens and watched a movie. And, then … I created this project. […]

READ MOREAfter a long week at work, I came home waiting for the “storm” that’s supposed to move in and give us some snow. I’m still hoping for a white Christmas but it’s really unlikely. So after I brushed out the knots in my hair created by the wind when I went for a walk at lunch, I headed to my craft room to work on the week 11 tag for the 12 tags of Christmas Funkie Junkie style. The challenge is generously sponsored by the Funkie Junkie Boutique. Technically there is still time to join in on the fun of the challenge but time is short! You can find all of the rules on Linda’s blog. […]

READ MOREWell, I did it. One of my New Year’s resolutions for this year was to participate in each of the Frilly & Funkie challenges. I managed each one of them – sometimes with awesome results and sometimes with some not-so-awesome results. Over the year though I have picked up new techniques, pushed my boundaries a bit, and enjoyed every minute of it. The last project for the year on the Frilly and Funkie blog is a Home for the Holidays challenge and the challenge is generously sponsored and supported by the Funkie Junkie Boutique. […]

Even still we inch closer to Christmas and I’m on Week #9 of the 12 Tags of Christmas – Funkie Junkie style. I’m 75% done which, unfortunately, is not near the percentage of my Christmas shopping that’s done. <sigh> […]
