Over the weekend I was at a lovely scrapbook retreat at a little hideaway B&B. While it was only 15 minutes from home it felt like it was a whole different world and is situated in a lovely pine forest. I love this area as it is near where I grew up as a child and the wind through the pine trees is a very beautiful, calming, "homey" sound for me. There were about 20 of us scrapbooking all weekend long! It was a lovely creative weekend with friends! […]
READ MORESo, as I was putting away my Christmas/Holiday craft stuff and move toward late winter/early spring stuff I decided to make one more tag! I know that it is still the depths of winter where I live but crafting moves before the seasons do and so it was time to put stuff back in its place in my craft room. On the Frilly & Funkie Challenge Blog sponsored by The Funkie Junkie Boutique I found the current challenge gave the opportunity to create something from one of our favorite holidays. […]

READ MOREI was inspired for this project by the Step-by-Step on the Frilly and Funkie Blog. I was excited to see the Tis the Season Challenge on the Frilly and Funkie Blog which would give me a chance to see what I could do. I went down into my basement and gathered a bunch of craft stuff that had been relegated to a pile for Goodwill or to be given to other crafty friends and rifled through it to find the bits and pieces for this project. Even the mailbox came from that pile. I'm not sure when I got it (or even if it was given to me) and figured now was the time to use it. […]

READ MORETag #8 was a bit delayed as I had planned on working on it and #9 during the Thanksgiving weekend but other duties called. Today was all about catch-up! When I first saw Tag #8 I was worried about what I could make of it. Ideas floated around in my head but nothing that I quite felt right. This morning I woke up and said to myself -- "what does this tag remind me of?" The answer -- those ribbon wreaths that people make with ribbon or paper for various holidays throughout the year. Linda's tag used the flags at the top and so that was the part of it that inspired me to create this tag. […]
